Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind. Last updated: 1 January 2026.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a site saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job. We use "cookies" in this policy to mean both. Brightwater Aerial Media Ltd operates this site, as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. What we use
At the time of writing, we use only essential storage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
qfa_consent_v1 | Local storage | Saves your cookie choices (necessary, analytics, marketing) and the date you made them | Up to 12 months | Strictly necessary |
qfa_c | First-party cookie | Records that you have made a choice, so the banner is not shown again | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary storage does not need your consent because the site cannot remember your choice without it.
3. Optional cookies
Our settings allow you to opt in to analytics (aggregated information about which guides are useful) and marketing (partner content and measurement if we introduce it). These are off unless you turn them on. If we start using any, we will list them in the table above. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Third-party requests
When you load a page, your browser requests fonts from Google Fonts and photos from Unsplash. These requests share your IP address and browser details with those providers. They are not set by us, and we do not control any cookies or storage those providers might use. See their privacy policies for details.
5. Managing your choices
You can update your preferences at any time:
You can also use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you do, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
